White gold adds a wonderful quality to necklaces and our white gold necklaces look phenomenal just on their own, or as a chain with a pendant or locket hanging from them. White gold has a brighter and shinier finish than sterling silver and does not need to be polished as white gold does not tarnish. White gold is made from alloying pure gold with a white metal, normally palladium or nickel instead of copper which is what most 9ct yellow gold is alloyed with. The higher density of white gold as compared to silver gives a necklace slightly more weight to it, and as a result the necklace often hangs more naturally.
